Interpretation of DAVE’s first implementation case: the smart security
On a number of occassions, in interviews and the Ask Me Anything (AMA) CyberVein mentioned the smart city implementation cases, jointly developed by Dubai, Zhejiang University, and the Kingsoft Cloud. These are smart healthcare, smart homes, and smart exhibitions, but these were officially launched in 2020, although some of the technology is being implemented, it will take more time to reach large-scale adoption of our technology.
Now, CyberVein and Jiangsu NextStage join forces to create smart security. This post will provide more details DAVE’s smart security application. This is the first smart city case with the widest business application area after CyberVein was established. Thanks to the maturity of this smart security solution, we have a powerful example of our work which we can use to secure further cooperations with other smart cities.
Why did we develop this field first? Because when we were developing big data solutions, the first thing we encountered was the “data collection” problem. Since governments have large amount of basic data, many countries have begun to open government data to the outside world. As early as 2013, McKinsey estimated that the global market of open data could create an additional 3 to 5 trillion US dollars in value each year. This year, within the European Union, the use of open data by the public will reduce public management expenditures by approximately 1.7 billion euros, save 629 million hours of unnecessary waiting time, and the phenomenon of spending on the road for processing official duties will be improved-this move It also helps reduce energy consumption by 16%.
It is undeniable that most government departments regard data as the power resource of their own department. “Yours is yours, mine is mine”. Data sharing between departments is difficult to achieve, let alone to open it to the society. Moreover, data acquisition methods and screening standards of each department are different, and some data are still paper records, and the quality of the data is uneven, which intensifies the difficulty of opening it up.
This is the problem we encountered, and it is also the problem we had to solve. Only by solving the problem of data collection first, we can then solve the data management, -storage, -research, and -use problems.
Smart security is a full range of solutions that promote data fusion from front-end to back-end, from collection to application. The operation process is mainly divided into five steps:
Step 1: Front-end intelligent equipment collects data. These are built-in algorithms and various forms of artificial intelligence (Ai) acquisition equipment adapted to different scenarios. They can be vertical, gate type, face recognition terminal, mobile video capture and face recognition terminal, and smart portrait application glasses.
Step 2: Provide unified access for front-end equipment, multi-manufacturers, multi-protocol compatibility and quality monitoring to meet the entire network segment transmission, monitoring, dynamic portrait platform, access control, visitors, perimeter alarm, patrol system, attendance consumption System, material management system, etc. are integrated under a unified architecture.
Step 3: Convergence gateway, providing a data convergence and service convergence gateway platform with low intrusion to the existing system. Through a standard interface, it provides users with an open, integrated, visual, comprehensive linkage, and unified operation and maintenance of comprehensive security management platform.
Step 4: Start the analysis engine, support the precise structuring of data, such as unstructured video images, and provide pluggable multi-engine support.
Step 5: Data fusion and analysis, providing multi-dimensional data fusion based on artificial intelligence and knowledge graphs to support various big data applications. In the entire plan, robotic process automation, borderless mass data interaction, and artificial intelligence play a vital role. Federated learning and distributed computing power allow data to be unified into the report for fusion analysis and mapping.
In the process of our implementation of the smart cities’ technological stack, DAVE resumed cross-department, cross-field, and cross-sector data connectivity, established a data open standard system, and promoted the improvement of the overall big data implementation plan.
However, you can rest assured that the big data sources here are desensitized and are used legally and compliantly under the government supervision. Openness here does not mean openness, and each piece of data can be verified and traced.
We believe you all had this experience. Your personal data is the same information, and you needed to fill it out at least once for different government departments. DAVE allows data to be collected and integrated, and a flexible data sharing standard specification is formed. In addition to making data “available and invisible”, we can also make “data only available once”. Also, in this process, we continue to develop and iterate existing technologies to develop more possibilities for smart policy and technology. We have changed the current shortage of government storage capacity, using PISR database for global data management and processing, and using DAG storage chain-link data storage pressure; we have changed the limitations of existing data analysis, using Cytrix distributed computing power and federation Learn to process graphics and data more accurately so that video integrated management platforms, multi-dimensional data fusion, emergency command platforms, and integrated operation and maintenance platforms can all benefit from artificial intelligence.
At the same time, we and Jiangsu ‘Next Stage’ company have also developed security products, especially surveillance cameras and various detectors, which play a unique role in the wave of the Internet of Things. These products can replace the “eyes” of the people. Existence is indeed through images, sounds, or equipment signals. When these signals from various “perceptions” are brought together, they can provide relevant departments with more databases for calculations and solve the problem of “visible, see the problem of “understanding” is entering the stage of “understanding and understanding”.
In addition, we have made Ai the “most reliable digital employee” of each organization. It operates 24 hours a day, has low development costs, does not invade existing systems, significantly improves efficiency, reduces labor costs, and handles things with accuracy close to 100%. It’s okay. The advantage of this solution lies in the fact that, like the work office’s automatic reminder, multi-system data monitoring, and easy-face communication integrated management solutions, these are all-natural police systems that can be replaced by grafting. There is no major impact and the big change will not affect the long-term police operation mode. It can be said that the cost of upgrading is very low.
People often say that consumption upgrades, aesthetic upgrades, and taste upgrades, but few people pay attention to safety upgrades. However, on many levels, safety is the cornerstone of all beauty and quality. Today, 19 types of smart security services developed by us and Jiangsu ‘Next Stage’ company have been smoothly spread to 12 provinces in China, providing advanced artificial intelligence-based image and data processing solutions for dozens of cities. Used in public security, transportation, finance, hotels, communities, and other industries.
We believe that in the future, we can explore smart security with the governments of more countries and regions.
